Who We Are

In 2010, we began baking a variety of dessert recipes that were handed down in our families. We began making desserts for family and friends for gifts and soon developed new flavors and combinations. The word spread and orders began coming in. Everyone was asking, “What makes these so much different”? The response was “they are simply Mo’Betta”. Thus the name was born and Mr. Mo’Betta was coined. Mr. Mo’Betta’s Gourmet Desserts was founded in 2011. Soon Talitha asked the question, “what if we rolled them into little balls”, thus Mr. Mo’Betta’s Candy Cakes were born! With the creation of the “Candy Cake™” we knew we had stumbled on what is soon to be a household name.

Mr. Mo’Betta’s Candy Cakes™ are delightful creations that will leave you wanting for more. While many of the recipes are not new, the methods and ingredients are what make Mo’Betta desserts Mo’Betta. We are committed to creating indulgent flavors, delectable treats and lasting relationships through our gourmet treats.

With the support of family and friends this small business is getting bigger bite by bite. Yet, every mouth-watering dessert is made from scratch. No pre made frozen desserts, just fresh delicious desserts, made to order, made Mo’Betta.

Our Philosophy

Mother’s Rule:

"Bake the Love Inside", Mother Law would always say, “If you don’t feel like baking, don’t baby, you can always taste the difference.” She would say, “anyone can make a cake, but it’s the love that makes the difference.” This philosophy has stayed with us and is what we put into every sweet dessert we create. The people that make the desserts are just as important as the ingredients we use. The secret behind our success is simple: Genuine love for baking, a dogged determination, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit are the ingredients we mix into every dessert we make. We hope you enjoy eating them as much as we enjoy creating them.
